1. What Rulestage is
Rulestage is a Shopify app for order rules. You write rules, simulate a cart against your draft, review conflicts, and publish a version that Shopify's server-side checkout validation enforces.
Shopify decides where validation runs. It is not applied to Shopify POS, order editing, the orderCreate API, subscription renewals or pre-orders, and Rulestage cannot enforce anything there.
Rulestage is not affiliated with Shopify, and Shopify has not approved or endorsed it.
2. Who charges you
- WaveApp LLC makes Rulestage and licenses it to you.
- Your subscription runs on Shopify App Pricing. You choose a plan on Shopify's own page, and the charge is added to your Shopify invoice.
- Rulestage creates no charge in code and never sees your card.
- Refunds are covered on the refund page.
3. Your licence
You may use Rulestage on the Shopify stores you control, to run your own store policy. You must not resell it, copy it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to break the law or to interfere with another store. You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live.
4. Paying
- Guard is $29.00 per month and carries everything: every rule family, the simulator on your own draft, conflict analysis, the scenario suite, version history and rollback, the audit trail and export.
- Enforce is $9.00 per month and carries rules, publishing and server-side enforcement only.
- Guard starts with a 14-day free trial, which rolls into the first charge. Enforce has no trial.
- Billing is monthly. Development stores are free.
- Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription at the end of its current period, as Shopify's plan page shows, and Shopify removes the checkout validation. If you reinstall before that date the plan stays active until then; publish again to restore enforcement.
- The price on Shopify's plan page, in your billing currency, is the one that counts.
- When a subscription ends — you cancel and the billing cycle runs out, Shopify freezes it over a billing problem, or it is no longer active for any other reason — your admin stays readable and the rule version you last published keeps enforcing at checkout for 7 more days. After that Rulestage disables the checkout validation and records that it did so in your audit log. Choosing a plan again re-enables it through the normal publish step.
5. Your work and ours
- Your rules, versions, scenarios and records are yours. We hold them to run the app for you, and the privacy notice says how.
- The app, the engine and the interface are ours.
- You are responsible for the rules you publish and for the message a blocked shopper reads.
6. What we do not promise
Rulestage enforces the rules you publish through Shopify's validation layer. We do not promise that a store is free of lost orders, that every checkout path behaves identically, or that the service is always available. Per-customer limits and capacity pools are built from webhooks, so two rapid checkouts can land inside the same update window.
7. Changes and ending
We will change features and prices across releases, and we will tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. You can remove Rulestage at any time; it deletes your data as the privacy notice describes, and it leaves nothing in your storefront.
8. Warranty
Rulestage is provided as is. Where the law gives you a warranty we cannot exclude, that warranty stands.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, WaveApp LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profit, lost orders or lost data. Our total liability for anything connected to Rulestage is limited to what you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit.
10. Law and disputes
These terms follow the law of the State of Wyoming, United States. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections and courts of the place where you live still apply. Write to support@rulestage.com first; most problems are settled by email.
